My Story

My transformation journey began in January 2016. There I was, happily married with two amazing young boys, but something wasn’t quite right. There was something I didn’t like about my life. It was hard for me to pinpoint at first, but I eventually realized that what I didn’t like, was myself.
 

So I went all in. I signed up for a Spartan Race, a half marathon, AND a full marathon. Three things I had never done, and never thought I could.

I knew I bit off more than I could chew. So I needed help. I needed someone to show me how to tackle my goals.

I joined the North Idaho Athletic Club. I knew the trainers there would hold me accountable and I NEEDED that in order to succeed.

The pinnacle of these challenges was the marathon. The training was grueling. I didn’t even like running, but I knew I needed to do something really hard to see if I was truly committed to change. I trained for 4 months with my close friend, Kelly. On October 9th, 2016 I did it. My goal was to finish the marathon in under 5 hours. I finished in 4 hours and 53 minutes.

Crossing that finish line proved to me that I can do hard things. That I’m worth it.

I knew I never wanted to run a marathon again, but I took what I learned and found my true love in CrossFit. My body changed rapidly when I started lifting weights, and I was pleased with the results. But fitness was only half the battle.

I knew that I needed to work on my eating habits, or I was never going to get where I wanted to go. So I hired a macro coach to help me learn the right way to eat.
 

At the time, I didn’t know much about Macronutrients, what “eating my macros” really meant, or how it could benefit me. But I trusted my coach and trusted the process.

Through the macro coaching, I learned how to form a sustainable, healthy diet. Most of what I thought I knew before was completely wrong. I didn’t have to restrict my food intake like I had been. I eliminated false notions like carbs and fats are bad. It was a real awakening.

Even better, I learned how to eat for my goals. I learned how to eat for my lifestyle, which is probably the most important thing I took away from macro coaching.
 
I didn’t know it at the time, but thanks to my coach, I had started on a journey that would change my life forever. I saw such great results in myself and others through this newfound education, that I decided I too, wanted to start macro coaching.
 
I’ve become such an advocate for this lifestyle. And believe it or not, it’s my old unhealthy self that propelled me to become so passionate to help others. Through that struggle, I find that I am able to relate to my clients so much better because I have been there and personally experienced the challenge it can be, firsthand. I’ve felt stuck, I’ve experienced the grind of boring, restrictive, unnecessary diets. I’ve been overweight, unhappy, and beyond. And I overcame it all.
 
Today I help others who are stuck, sick, and tired. I use what I’ve learned to inspire others get where they want to go, faster and easier. I’m here for people, to hold them accountable and walk them through change. No one should have to go through it alone, so I work closely with all my clients to give them personalized attention and help them achieve a life they may have never dreamed possible.
